MIND/BODY
Mind over Body is a mental health app for athletes; a place to read about pressure, anxiety, but also a resource to share nutritional techniques, tips, and more. When thinking about athletes and what they would want out of this app, I thought about my teammates and my own experiences playing soccer at a D3 level.
PROBLEM
There are a lot of outside influences that can affect an athlete in a number of different ways, whether it be family problems, school work, depression, game anxiety or more. What most modern athletes disregard is the mental strategies and strength needed on and off the field, to reach peak performance.
SOLUTION
A mental health app where athletes of all levels can find articles on a number of topics like nutrition, confidence, winning or losing, and more. The app also provides users with knowledge and key insights from real professional athletes on their experiences with mental health. Professional athletes like Lebron James, Tobin Health and more can share their own experiences and techniques, in the hope it will help many athletes who may be struggling on and off the field.

EXPLORATIONS & SKETCHES
I explored many different ways to display and organize the information before deciding on the final look of the app. I wanted this app to be a space where any athlete can come and find resources and stories they can relate to, and that can help them on and off the field.
WIREFRAMES & FLOW
I created these low fidelity sketches to help me figure out the flow of my app, but also how I wanted to showcase the important features and sections during my app video.
BRAND
I wanted this brand to feel empowering and bold, but also calming. A mix between your favorite workout app and your go-to mediation app. The typography is a mixture of two san serifs, one thick and bold and the other soft and modern.
USER PERSONAS
I created 3 different user personas for my app. This helped me focus in on the important aspects of my app, but also helped me think about the different types of athletes that would use this app. Each user persona focuses in on different usages of the app and gives an insight on what resources are available and helpful for different types of athletes.

FINAL SCREENS & PROTOTYPE
Above are some of the final screens, you can test the prototype here!
APP POSTERS
These posters showcase the amazing features within the app, and gives users a look into the different articles and stories they can read.
APP VIDEO
The video highlights key features in the app, such as the home page where you can explore new articles, the athletes page where you can read different sport specific stories from your favorite athletes, and much more. This video would be shown in the app store, giving the user an overview of what to expect and how they can use it.
