Placeholder ILLUSTRATIONS
For my first project as a product design intern at Side, a start-up in San Francisco, I was tasked with creating their first-ever illustrations. My project was to create an illustration for their listings site for when an agent didn’t have a photo of the property.
PROBLEM
Side would use a blank grey placeholder image on their listings site for when an agent doesn’t have a photo of the property.
SOLUTION
I created four different placeholder images that represented different architecture styles in the Bay Area, but also reflected Side’s brand. These new illustrations will be used when the agent doesn’t have an image of the property for the listing site.

EXPLORATIONS & SKETCHES
Through multiple explorations I realized that one illustration wouldn’t be enough to showcase the diverse architectural styles of the Bay Area. These sketches also helped me figure out the best style (color scheme, line weight, opacity, etc.) illustration for Side’s brand.
